One of France is current environmental problem is water pollution. The main reason for water pollution is because of all the urban waste. Eighteen point seven million (18.7million) tons of solid waste per year has been dumped into the waters of France. This is a big problem because water is a limited resource. Agriculture is one of Frances, greatest water consumers. Other environmental damages are; that the coastal places in France are very fragile. Also, drought periods raise a lot of problems, mainly increase pollution. Acid rain cause forest damage, not to mention 1/4 of France is forest.

Friendly Trade Partners: 0
France is the second-largest trading nation in Western Europe. One of France's friendly trade partners is, you're right, The United States of America. Trade from France is mainly aircraft engines, electronic components, computers and peripherals. Not only that, but also beverages, cosmetic products and luxury products. Where else do you think your Coco Chanel perfume comes from?

Society's Response to its Environmental Problems: 6
Since France has a limited supply of water they use it very "wisely" as one would say. This here list is taken from Wikipedia to show what the French use their water for.
  • 39 % for baths and showers
  • 20 % for toilets
  • 12 % for washing clothes
  • 10 % for washing dishes
  • 6 % for food preparation
  • 6 % for other residential uses
  • 6 % for outdoor uses (lawn watering and washing cars)
  • 1 % for drinking
As you can see, you know what their priority is.
